`newzbot:` exclude 38.107.191.107 from scanning

This page will instruct newzbot to not scan 38.107.191.107 for NNTP services. You can visit this page from any host that you don't want newzbot to scan. (Keep in mind that this is really only immediately useful if you have a static IP; if you have a dynamically assigned IP, this will just keep newzbot from scanning that IP, not necessarily your host.)

If your news server has been indexed by newzbot and you want it removed, don't use this page. Instead, first configure your news server software to either:

exclude everyone, and only allow connections from hosts or networks you wish to have access. (this is the correct way to set up an access control list.)
allow everyone, and exclude connections from 'jammed.com'/216.99.218.161. This is kind of silly, since other people who scan the net for public news servers will find you. I really suggest the first method.
Once you've done these steps, visit the search engine, search for your news server, and click to have it re-tested. Newzbot will connect, see that you've restricted access, and remove you from the database, and, if your news server sends newzbot a 500 message, never contact you again.

Otherwise, click here to have 38.107.191.107 removed from future newzbot scans.

If you want to use this page to exclude a host that doesn't have a web browser (say, your firewall), you can use telnet to connect to this server and speak raw HTTP. Open a telnet session to www.newzbot.com on port 80 and send the following:

Host: www.newzbot.com

Make sure you hit return twice after the Host: header.
